Provide Support for Internally Displaced Persons Through Bridgers
Bridgers has since 2018 been busy with the identification of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Cameroon. The plight of this vulnerable group of persons is and should be a major concern to everyone. These are the people who have involuntarily and forcefully escaped from their usual places of residence and are seeking refuge in other safe places.
Here, we are concerned with those who are internally displaced as a result of the ongoing Anglophone crisis in Cameroon which has caused many thousands of people to become IDPs. The IDPs need just everything that one would need to live apart from ordinary air because their needs range from feeding, toiletries, accommodation, clothing, schooling, and economic empowerment. In the course of identifying and assessing the needs, it is quick to discover that theirs is a sorry case needing urgent attention for rescue.
Their stories are appalling; these IDPs are spread all over Cameroon, especially those who have ran from the North West and South Regions of Cameroon. Bridgers Association Cameroon is presently carrying out identification in Yaounde and Bamenda after carrying out the same exercise in some parts of the South West Region.
